HbA1c levels

Sorry seems site went down and had a blooming ambulance out for me :( Had a false hypo but it was terrible I couldn't even stand. What does that convert too in a percentage? I'm rubbish with numbers lol. That's ridiculous. I'm looking at changing docs as mine doesn't seem to give a dam really

@RuthW
Yeh I thought it needed bringing down gradually but my diabetes nurse is telling me it's needs to come below 50 on my next blood test :/
Mine in July was 134 in September it was 100 soo it's coming down step by step which I thought was good
I've have my insulin changed arround 5 times in the past two years of me being diagnosed ... Feel hopeless with it all
Well, frankly, it depends when your next blood test is. If its less than three months since the last one, her demand is not possible without a ton of hypos because that previous higher reading will still be having an effect on the next test result. If you set yourself a target of 65, you could do that, then 50 at the next one. One of the things you have to learn over the years is how to nod and smile and cooperate without necessarily 'buying' the whole package at once. You can 'negotiate' openly sometimes: "You know, I don't feel that's an achievable target in the time before my next test. How about trying for 60-65 this time?"
Medics actually do have to set achievable targets, steps on the way, but they need reminding sometimes!
