@bladerfc - It is my belief we all have a personal range we'd really struggle to get under. You are now under both the diabetes and pre-diabetes thresholds, so you may be reaching your range where your body can work quite happily. So, so many on here would be dancing, nekkid, in the streets to return results such as yours.
My numbers are in my signature, and am now more concerned to have stable numbers, which I would say,
for me, would be +/-10%. I have absolutely no expectation of reducing further, and have been astonished by every reduction after the first after diagnosis. I knew the second test would be very different from the diagnostic one, but thereafter, I just want to stay under the thresholds by a few points.
If I can do that for the very long time, I'll be in a great place.
It's hard not to be competitive (and I'm an extreme competitor! Ahem), but each of us has different physical capabilities and/or damage, so we have to do the best we can, whilst retaining a decent quality of life. Maintaining a fantasmagorical HbA1c score is pretty pointless if it means your life is ruled by every mouthful of food, or your day to day living is significantly inhibited. Of course, we have all made changes to achieve what we have, but I hope you understand my sentiments?
