My son is just back from hospital having had his 2 HBa1C test. Today his result was 7.1. Last time he was 7.4 so we're doing ok considering he was diagnosed only in April

Diabetes?
Certainly going in the right direction :) What medication is he on? I'm assuming T1.

He's is indeed a T1. He only uses Humilin S 3 times a day taking units according to his carb intake. No basal insulin needed yet

Whole-wheat past and rice, tastes horrible. Cats, spiders, and people who think nick jonas is a musician.
Congrats :D
Getting lower is better, and that's not a bad reading anyway.

He's doing good.

His levels throughout the day are good

Waking: between 113 and 140 (6mmol and 7.7)
10am; Somedays over 200 somedays 52 average seems to be between 103 and 140 (5.7 and 7.7)
12pm can be between 50 and 70 (2.7 and 3.8)
1500 hr: between 60 and 110 (3.3 and 6.1)
1700 hrs between 60 and 170 (3.3 and 9.4)
and 8.30 pm between 70 and 140 (3.8 and 7.7)
We're in Germany so working in Mgs rather than mmol

Obviously he has off days. For about 10 days he was having readings over 200 at 10am everyday so no snack but by lunch he was low at about 50/50. This appears to have settled since going back to school
