Had my blood test last Friday and phoned for my results yesterday (20th April). Our surgery now has a new option to go straight to a line for test results. I got slightly confused details over the phone, but was able to get a printout for collection in the afternoon.
So HbA1c slightly down again from 43 to 42, but not as low as I'd hoped from my greatly reduced testing levels. (As I said in another thread, I believed that the reduction was probably due to my finally coming off long term corticosteroid eye drops last autumn, but I've read recently that statins can also raise glucose levels, and I'd also stopped taking mine a short while before I started seeing my lower levels, so I assume I have both to thanks for this.

In spite of what my occasionally dozy diabetic doctor told me (All that stuff's only for the Americans!!!
) my fasting test did include all the cholesterol breakdown, so I need to ensure next time that I also have a fasting test done, as last summer it wasn't, and I didn't get all the data. So:
