Why did you not go back for the second test for a full W.HO. Diagnosis of diabetes, thought that your Dr would insist
that test for all the help and advice from the team. So you to are not diabetic with a HBA1C of 95. So what a you
classed as, because I really don't understand
That is I believe a false statement. Obviously in my case after 21 months I can't say for sure.. but if my HbA1c can go from 87 to 29 (most recent) then I would hardly describe that as progressive. So type 2 is a progressive disease, even with diet and exercise its inevitable that HBA1C will rise leading to Meds
So spoke with the Dr this evening. She now says we never said you have Diabetes, you have heightened HBA1C test result of 50.
Really don't understand where this is going. So its OK to dip into the 50's for a while, then dip back out again and not be diabetic.
So one year on after four tests and diabetic appointments, I am not diabetic, still waiting for the Lab to respond to the request of
explanation.
But if you have read my postings, you will see I am officially outside of W.H.O guide lines for diabetes. Yet I can return a number of 50 HBA1C for one time only.Maybe my indoor rowing training of seven hours a week is holding off the real number
because of the high level of Cv work out.If that's what is happening that's not close control of HBA1C, my exercise is giving
False indications of what is really going on.And as I get older I cannot sustain that level of training which is not there to hold off
HBA1C tests, below the threshold but for staying active. If the Lab got this so badly wrong, they have some pretty serious questions to answer.
Yet I can return a number of 50 HBA1C for one time only
. If a type 2 becomes insulin resistance, does not matter how much you work out or carb watch,it's Meds I was told.
I have lived as a type 2 for a year, I attended clinics for eye tests, podiatrist appointments, four diabetic nurse appointments.
I listen to the advice given, and now dismissed from all of this.My motivation for my one hour a day indoor rowing, was never
based on advice from anyone in my health care professionals, they were talking about 20 mins a day around the park, not a 800
cal burn on a rowing machine seven days a week. If a type 2 becomes insulin resistance, does not matter how much you work
out or carb watch,it's Meds I was told. They tell us all(public) to get tested, I did And they screwed me over for a year. And even
now they say "let's have a yearly check to keep an eye on you"really I still think there not sure.Remmember the diagnosis of diabetes comes from a guy in a white coat in a Lab and his machines, the Dr just passes the information to you.Seriouly not
one person bothered to call/ write to Lab and ask could this be a mistake. As I stated I will share with you all the contents of
the letter from the Lab.
I only need to slow down the "progress" of Type2 so that it does not affect my life. Given that with "standard" progress it takes 10 years before Type2 has much effect on someone's life, I just need to slow it down by 80%. I expect I will do a lot better then this.....
Someone else posted on another thread that you cannot reverse DB after ten years - and again I wondered what that meant?
