Hba1c

why not back to work? Did they say?

Thanks Diakat
I'm well chuffed especially since I was only diagnosed at beginning of December

Great reduction in just 8 weeks @peter.s. Well Done!:)
Do you have to get down to non-diabetic levels to be allowed to drive again? If so I am sure you will get there.

Thanks prem51
Shouldn't take much more to get there I'm on gliclazide so they gonna change it to metformin that way less chance of a hypo

I'm a pcv driver won't let me drive bus yet

That seems strange.

My HbA1c was 88 on diagnosis, but at no stage did it have any affect on my Category D entitlement. I can understand the Gliclacide may have been an issue, but if you are not on that kind of medication now I can't see why it should stop you working.

Hi britishpub
Bgs got too be between 5-8
To drive bus I'm not quite there yet and they going to change meds but not done it yet mate

Diagnosed 8 weeks ago hba1c was 80 had bloods done on Thurs was at doctors today for results doctor was well chuffed hba1c now 55 and she wants me off gliclazide and onto metformin but still not back to work

Great progress in no time at all and over the festive season - stick at it peter.s! All the best for 2017.
