Hi

I received a voicemail from my doctors last night saying I have to ring her first thing Monday to discuss my blood test. My HBA1C is 135 she said.

This is still very new to me so I’m trying to understand why this is happening.

I take novarapid and lantus.

Is there anything I can do to get this down ?

From your other posts I get you're very recently diagnosed, it takes time to find the right dose of insulin.

How are your insulin doses being adjusted? Are you on fixed doses still? Are you having regular contact with your consultant or your diabetes nurse to talk over your readings and adjust your doses?

What are your sugars like normally? It sounds like you need to increase all your insulin you're taking. Have you been ill recently? That elevates it!
