Hello. My results came through today with my HBA1c reading at 38. Is this a good number to be at. Didn’t speak to the Diabetes team, but the GP’s receptionist gave me the figures.

It's a good number depending how you arrived at it.
Hba1c tells you something about your average blood glucose during the past 3 months.
According to your profile, you're on insulin, which can cause low BG, is this still correct?
So an hba1c of 38 can be the result of nicely stable BG not going above 8-10 or under 4 too often or too far, or it can be the result of wide swings where you go from very low hypos to well over 10 all the time, or anything in the middle.
Do you use a CGM or regular fingerpricks throughout the day to see what your BG is doing?
If you're mostly in range, 38 is a brilliant number, but if hypos and hypers are evening out your average, you might want to run a bit higher to prevent dangerous hypos.
38 is an excellent HbA1c result, so congratulations on that.
As others have said, the important thing is that it has been achieved without lots of hypos. If your blood sugars are generally stable and you're spending most of your time in range, then you're doing really well.
Could I ask what your time in range is ? like others have said if it means you're having lots of lows that's not so good , I remember my Dr telling me when my HbA1c dropped to 46 that it was too low and I need to relax my control a bit
