Thanks for the link. Don’t really understand the Hbac1 and what the normal reading should be. I don’t recall it being mentioned in the hospital.
 
as I was explained as a child, hba1 is something like the average bg for three months. But in fact, it is more important that there are no sharp changes in bg, even if hba1 is slightly higher than normal, because the average value can be good if you have about the same number of hypos and spikes
 
I went for a Diabetic eye test recently and they were testing for Retinopathy. I was reading the article you sent and the Hbac1 mentions about complications like Retinopathy.
