i just asked and got blood tests form from my dr for full bloods liver, hbac1, thyroid panel and cholesterol

im sure he is sick of me but im trying to be super proactive.

i know its usually 12 weeks but im dying to see how i m getting along so should i wait the two weeks or get them done in next few days?

im sure ten weeks of my new regime and weight loss will come through in the results.

I’d Wait for the 3 months. For one thing, some labs are not testing and rejecting the samples < 3 months. Mine was and some one on another thread mentioned same thing happening

hard to wait, I was the same but you will then get another extra 2 weeks of your good results and so could be even better!

I agree with Andy, although you’ll see in my signature that I had my first two follow up HbA1cs at two month intervals. I just did what the Dr suggested and I was impatient enough to agree! However NICE guidelines say 3 monthly and the labs must be super busy with Covid stuff right now so they could well reject it if sent sooner.

I was always told 3 months for HbA1c at the soonest because the average red blood cell has a 3 month life span. HbA1c is also weighted so that the lowest effect (positive or negative) is your most recent behaviour. Hope that helps a little.
