Thank you eggs11 that is useful info and I will get the breakdown of the cholesterol too so I can better understand what I am at. xAn HBA1c level of 39 is great - you've dropped from the range where diabetes begins to lower than even where prediabetes begins (which is 42) - meaning you are controlling your blood sugars to non-diabetic levels right now. Your total cholesterol is also good but to really find out what is going on with that you need the full breakdown of HDL, LDL and triglycerides - ask your GP for a print out of your blood test results and anything you don't understand, don't worry someone on here will be able to help interpret them.
Hey Guzzler thank you for replying, big smiles, I feel really pleased now and will do my best to keep at it as I am only 2 months in this shows how doing the LCHF for me is working. I have also lost 14lbs now too xYou have done wonderfully well! An A1c of 39 is a non Diabetes level. A good pat on the back is what you deserve.

Good weight loss too that’s bound to help you carry on coming down on your bgs well done give yourself a congratulatory pat on the back for your great achievements to date.
Hey thank you Bluetit1802 I will keep that in mind and ask for my printouts xWell done, that is excellent. Keep doing what you are doing and you can't go wrong.
It is always a good idea to get print outs every time you have tests. You need all the information that is on them - not just glucose but also the full cholesterol breakdown, liver and kidney functions and so on.
There is no need to fast for an HbA1c. It makes no difference as it is an average of your glucose levels over the previous 2 to 3 months, so what you had for breakfast won't have any effect at all. However, in future it is always a good idea to fast when having a cholesterol test even if told not to bother, because the triglycerides can be raised if you haven't fasted.
Hi eggs11 I got my cholesterol HDL levels which is 1.12 we dont have the LDL done at my surgery . Well I dont think so anyway. xAn HBA1c level of 39 is great - you've dropped from the range where diabetes begins to lower than even where prediabetes begins (which is 42) - meaning you are controlling your blood sugars to non-diabetic levels right now. Anything over 1 is considered fine for HDL I believe. Your HDL to total cholesterol ratio is 4.38, which is also ok. Worth asking next time if they can provide the full breakdown before you have the test, they may ask you to fast for the test.Hi eggs11 I got my cholesterol HDL levels which is 1.12 we dont have the LDL done at my surgery .
