Hi
@GazM .
welcome and great work so far..
chopping off 33 from the score in just one month, impressive.
Keep it up and the normal scores are easily in range for you, i hope.
as for the Metformin.
i was dx'd last august 2018, 57 hit normal numbers 40 this july 2019, but still continue taking mine.
More then a few choose to carry on taking the metformin as it has
other health qualities beside just the help with T2D.
and not doing me too badly..check out all the other success stories..

Not too sure of your location/doctors, but some who get to remission,
have reported being taken off the practice register as T2D, meaning they might miss out on the
checking procedures all T2D should be getting as in foot checks, hba1c testing etc.
it's very early for you, so no worries for now if you should come off it or not
but something to be aware of further down the road.
i can't vouch for all the facts, due diligence on your part is required, but a quick search for some useful info
on the benefits of taking metformin beyond helping T2D, is abundant.
here is one link that may prove useful, perhaps.
or at least a stop off point before you ditch the meds completely

best wishes for your journey, but probably not needed, as your off to such a great start.already.
