Head cold v hunger

I'm curious to know if anyone else gets the following symptoms?
Last few days have had the dreaded head cold ( I say it's flu but Mrs rower, a nurse seems to know better). Every time i get a head cold I become insatiability hungry. I just can't stop feeling hungry and strangely enough I can eat extra between meal snacks without having an adverse effect on my sugars.
Usually a snack would require a bolus but not when I'm suffering with this head cold. I find that a snack of 30 carbs does nothing to my sugars.
I know there must be a reason for this and any thoughts would be welcome although it's not something that is of concern to me. Actually a chance to have a treat without bolusing is quite good.
But I am interested if anyone else has this craving to eat with a cold.

Hmmmmm, this isn't something that affects me, @therower , but I'm interested to hear about it. The only time I'm actually ever off my food is when I've got some kind of full-on infection - I generally eat my way heartily through most circumstances and find no difference if I have a cold.

Hope you feel much better soon - get rid of those germs before Christmas, won't you?

This is something that crossed my mind. In fighting the germs I'm burning off the carbs.
