Type of diabetes

Hyperglcaemia headaches
Diagnosed Type 2 four years ago. For last year have been wakin with terrible headaches that can last all day for days on ennd. This last bunch has been happening for over 3 weeks now. Painkillers don't work. Tired all day and when not working just want to sleep and have no energy. Bad taste in mouth but constantly hungry. Is this typical of diabetes? GP not interested and accused me of trying to "get" antibiotics even though I hadn't mentioned them. Am at the point of just wishing I could die without my daughter knowing it was suicide

Do you test your blood sugar when you wake up?

Has your doctor done tests to rule out other causes of the headaches?

Sorry to hear you are struggling so badly with your head pain.

You mention feeling at the end of your tether. I just wanted to say first that the Samaritans are available to talk if you are feeling very low - http://www.samaritans.org/how-we-can-help-you/contact-us?gclid=CObP3LCM584CFUlmGwodNo8LDw

Have you told your GP that you are struggling so much with the pain? Perhaps they don't realise how terrible you are feeling?

Do you test your blood sugar? What makes you think the head pain is related to hyperglycaemia?

If you do have high blood sugar this will be making you dehydrated, which can cause headaches. So make sure you are drinking lots of water.

Alternatively, pain can push blood sugar up.

So perhaps it is worth going back to the GP to seek further investigation into the cause of the headaches?
