Hi everyone,

I'm type 2 and was diagnosed around 2 months ago. I struggled with the Metformin 1000mg twice a day at first as had bad diarrhoea. This however has sorted itself out, but I now keep getting really bad headaches. When googling symptoms etc it says blood glucose could be high or low. How do you know the difference and what can I do to get rid of these headaches ? Any advice is welcomed. Thank you :).

I think it's also a potential side effect of Metformin - have a look at the blurb in the box. I had a thick head for weeks when I started on it. Better now. I was told to drink.a lot of water through the day that did help and to take only paracetamol. Do you finger prick to see where your BG levels are? You will need to do that especially if the headaches carry on. If mine get high I definitely get the cotton wool headache, so I would test to check.
