I believe it depends along on your bg levels, what medication you are taking and how you want to manage your diabetes, as to whether you stick to a low carb diet or not. What you eat and snack on would also depend on whether or not you are overweight and need to lose weight or not.
My mother is an underweight type 2, and her daily snacks include nuts, cheese, oat biscuits (buttered with cheese), the occasional piece of toast with butter and peanut butter and the occasional small orange.
Nuts are definitely good, but if you are trying to lose weight, probably need to be eaten in moderation, and I believe that it's best not to eat too much bread/processed carbs, but again it depends on a lot of factors.
Hi. If you can try to train yourself out of frequent snacks and when you do snack, nuts and the better fruits are good. Fruits can be difficult to judge but go for those that are obviously not too sweet/juicy
