First of all, I would like to introduce my self, I'm Colin Marsh from Macclesfield.
What I woud like to know, is, before i was diagnosed with diabetes, I was told I had pre-diabetes and gloucose intollerant.
Could the pre diabetes have caused my two heart attacks and subsiquent Prinzmetals angina.
Many thanks, Col. x

I am not a doctor so I can't start claiming that I know the cause of your heart attacks BUT....

I was watching a film of Dr. Kendrick giving a lecture and he said that restricted arteries are the major cause. Damage to the internal artery wall has a plaque build up to cover the wound and the new lining that grows covers the plaque. The plaque does not dissolve so you end up with a lump in the internal wall of the artery. If this happens too often the blood supply is restricted and you get angina/heart attack.

There is also an ex-doctor Dwight Lundell who was a heart surgeon. He says that he operated on hearts for 25 years and saw lots of abrasion to the internal artery walls. He says it is caused by eating margerine like products. He recommends natural fats like real butter etc.

Diabetes causes neuropathy which is damage to nerves in addition to all sorts of other damage. The autonomic nervous system can suffer damage like anything else but if you are on here typing then I guess the bit that works the heart is still ok. You say you have pre-diabetes so your situation is not so dire. If you have pins and needles, numbness, strange unexplained pains then this could be nerve damage but if you don't then the damage is possibly slight.
