Does anyone else suffer from heartburn whilst taking metformin? I suffer really badly especially at night and wondered if it was just me or the tablets?
 
Hi l thought it was metformin but l have had a reflux problem few months now and been diagnosed overactive thyroid which can cause these symptoms xx

You could try asking your GP for Metformin SR (Slow Release).

I had bad reactions with standard Metformin then was fine when I changed to the SR version.

Always best to check with your GP
