hello all, i dont know any diabetics so plz help!

hi everyone. i've been diabetic for almost 4yrs, diagnosed at 17 due 2 a virus attacking my pancreas. my partner & i are going to try for a baby & i'm wondering if i'll be able to breast-feed? i dont know any other diabetics so please help!

i was diagnosed type one six yrs ago in july and until joining here i knew no diabetics, ive since met type 2s but still havent physically met another type one so know how u feel :lol:

I know what you mean, it is such a relief to be able to talk to people who understand where you are and where you are coming from as well as what you are wanting to do about things and where you are aiming to arrive at! :D 8) :D 8) :D

IF you want to meet diabetics "inthe flesh" Go to the Diabetes Uk website. You'll find all sorts of meetings advertised. You can then go along to some.
Do you visit the hospital clinic? Why don't you ask the nurse in charge of the notice board( there's bound to be one) if you could put a notice on it, where you could perhaps organise a get-together. Something like a meeting in a pub or a cafe. You might well get some replies
