Hello all....I have diabeties 1.....

I take 16 units of levemier in the morning and 6 units novorapid before meals
This morning I took 16 levemier and by mistake [ because i am rushing to go out] took a further 6 levimier INSTEAD of novorapid,
I then took the right amount of novorapid because i needed to eat.....help...will i be ok?

ps..I have only just changed over insulin
 
Try not to worry, the worst thing that could happen is a hypo. Make sure that you have something with you at all times so you can treat it if it does happen.
I've done this a number of times, you're not the only one!

thank you......do you think that i will be able to drive in a few hours..?
 
Hi. As others have said, have glucose tablets/drink with you and keep testing. If you drive do test just before and I would test at least every hour during driving and possibly avoid driving for that day?
 
I agree with Diabell, you can drive just make sure you test before you do drive and keep a close eye on your levels.
I don't know if you have but you should always have hypo treatments in your car. I keep a bottle of lucozade in my drivers door just in case :)

If you do hypo whilst driving you need to stop the car, take the keys out of the ignition and sit in the passenger side of the car. Treat your hypo and wait a while before driving again. Hopefully that won't happen though!
