Hello every one.
I just signed up to this forum and just dropping by to post my first post. (sorry its a little long)

Im jayne i been type 2 diabetic for a year now. I use to be on metformin twice a day (500mg). But because i have kept my sugars under control over the year the Dr has now taken me off this and because metformin starting to make me feel sick in the day, i am now on victoza that i started on the 11th of November (2011), i was not worried about injecting myself has i have regular blood test so i am used to needles, and i also was shocked how painless it is. Also i have been told this will also help with my weight loss has i also suffer from sleep apnea so the weight loss will also help me beat that too. I have been on other diet pills that the Dr gave me and i have also been to a NHS weight loss programs. But i seem to lose the weight then put it all back on when the diet programs stop. My Dr told me victoza will make me feel fuller, at first i thought it was all faddy talk has nothing has really worked, i was worried my sugar levels would go out of control has in the first week i had to drop my metformin to one a day in the evening and one injection in the morning, that first week was great i had to go back and tell my Dr i was fine on it my sugar levels was spot on, but then she stop the metformin altogether on the November 18th and that is when i panic has i thought i would be in trouble with my sugar levels.

But i must say how happy i am up to now into my second week, i no longer snack threw the day and i do feel fuller, and also i have noticed i can no longer Finnish a full meal like i use to be able to, i use to have a full pasta bowl of spaghetti bolognese with 3 slices of garlic bread. I was amazed after eating this meal last night, after just eating one half of slice of garlic bread and 5 mouth fulls of the meal i was totally full, it looked like i not touch my meal there was so much left of it. I use to eat a packet of biscuits a day if i was in eating mood, now i still have a full packet i first bought the day before i started on victoza. In my first week i had not lost any weight but my Dr says it is early days i have to go back in three weeks time for a check up. But in my second week i can notice a difference now my clothes seem a little loser and i notice a shape change in my body and my eating habits has changed. I have not weigh myself has i am just sticking to the Dr's scales has i know every scales are different. At the moment i am still on the lowest does of 6.0mg, i do not know if i will have my dose up anymore when i next see my Dr has i have read that you start of at the lower dose in the first week, then to the medium dose but this has not happened yet. So fingers crossed this is a new sign of me finally losing the weight.

Like to know anyone who is on Victoza, how long was it before you lost any weight, or have you lost weight and now you cant not lose it.Or has anyone been on this and it has stopped you eating lots, but you not lost any weight.
