Hello all. Might be LADA.

Thanks Liam1955. Checked that out makes a lot more sense now. Some of the recipes look good too. I will do some meal planning tomorrow. I ate less carbs today and noticed I wasn't quite so hungry or maybe it's my imagination. Don't think I could do 20g of carbs though. This is going to be a BIG change for me .

You are Welcome @Hoon :). If you go to the top of the page and click on the word FORUMS, then scroll down to FOOD and NUTRITION there you will see all kinds of diets, I believe the low carb is amongst them. I can't quite remember at the moment! - But some of the members who follow LCHF Diet actually list what they have eaten on a thread, if I can find it? It may be of some help in your menu planning. If I find it I will tag you.:). (place @followed by Avatar name leave a space and when you press post, it should turn red - that person will be alerted to a message)

@Hoon - Found it :). When you have scrolled down to FOOD and NUTRITION - click on Low -Carb Diet that will take you into the list, and then scroll down to (10th heading) What have you eaten today. Hope this is of some help to you :).
Don't be afraid to ask questions, no matter how daft you may think they are! There will always be someone to help. We are friendly, helpful and supportive to one another on here. :)

@Liam1955 Thanks for the support some weeks ago as advised I lowered my carbs significantly and my blood sugars came down quickly. I had the cpeptide test and turns out the doctor who told me I may be lada was wrong . My levels were 1.06

@liam1956 sort of I will have to explore a bit more to get used to it Just wandering around reading questions and replies. Very informative. I am learning quickly. My hba1c is at 6.5 down from 12 and I have halved my insulin. I will now look for some new food ideas. I have found that I can have a certain amount of carbs and no more or my levels will rise. I am much more aware of how carbs and insulin affect me now and I feel a whole lot less overwhelmed Never found a doctor or dietitian that could give me the info I have got from this site. Most grateful.
