HI i am feeling fine, I am type 2 my medication, Metformin 850g 1 a day, Gliclazide 800g 2 in morning 2 in afternoon. Also Glargine 28ml at night slow release, I have started to eat healthy and walk more, I was 18 stone 10 last December I am bow 16 stone 8, so slowly losing weight, my bloods today are on 28.9 I had veg soup Heinz and 2 bread rolls at 2pm and at 5 I had an orange apple 2 kiwi fruits, also today I had a lot of stress and an upsetting day with personal family stuff, should I be worried and wait and see if my bloods come down, also could the upset and stress cause my sugers too be high . Hello Helen. Sorry to hear about your stressful time and hope things ease up for you. Well done on the weight loss.
All the food you mention is almost certainly pushing your blood sugar up and the stress is an additional hazard. I could manage half a small apple with a good chunk of cheese, but apart from that I avoid bought soup, bread and most (not all) fruit as well as rice & pasta.
If you're testing yourself before eating and 2 hours afterwards you'll get a good idea of what hurts you.

Thank you, yes i did eat a lot of fruit and bread and home made soup from now on, stress sorted also my bloods are down again, thank you x

Hi Helen, I too am struggling with anxiety and depression at being type 2 at such a relatively young age. I was diagnosed at age 35. I am now 46 and still struggle to come to terms with it. Suffering with the consequences of high sugar at the moment x
