Hi there, I found out this week that I have type 2 diabetes and was searching the internet for info and found this site. I was very happy to know it was here and that I could meet and talk to people with the same condition. Looking forward to reading the posts and hopefully adding something as and when things arise. Thank you

Hi Maro, I too found out I have type 2 this week. If you're anything like me you're wondering what to eat and drink.
What medication have you been prescribed?
Lots of good advice to be found on here.

Hello Maro & Blondie, I was diagnosed 1 year ago and to be honest I have tried not to let diabetes rule my life, but it does unfortunately. I have learned to control what I eat, my meds help in this but a little exercise helps to keep the BG levels down. This forum is a fabulous place to gain information about everything and anything, so welcome to the forum.

Hi Maro and Blondie.
I am 18 and was diagnosed type 2 about 3 years ago. It was hard and very hard to accept it. I joined this forum very recently and I have found it very supportive. I wish I knew about this when I was diagnosed,maybe, I might have not been on insulin...
