Hey, I'm not even sure I should be here yet as I have no diagnoses, but I had gestational diabetes in 2018. I went to A&E Saturday night struggling to breathe, no big deal figured it was my severe hayfever causing it (I take steroids for it). Turns out my blood sugars were 12.1 and then when I did the finger prick test two hours later they had raised to 15.2 but ketones were 0.2 so I was sent home and told to get my HBA1C sorted. I'm a worrier so purchased a testing kit and I've been high since averaging 14-15 with highest 23.6. GP have asked me to test but gave no instructions as to when or how often, so I'm testing before food and two hours after. I've just been getting messages from the GP via a receptionist and haven't actually spoke to a Dr yet. I don't know if they want me to be careful what I eat or if I should carry on as normal, although my emotions are all over the place I'm not sleeping and so had no energy to exercise either. I am feeling so sick with worry, I don't know if they think it's type 2 or if it's steroid induced or something else. I have ARFID so changing my diet is a huge deal for me and is causing a lot of the anxiety. I've got my HBA1C booked for today so fingers crossed I can get some answers soon. Thanks for reading
