Hello Everyone! A question about not wasting insulin on a 780G reservoir

Hi, I'm new here, hope you are all doing well. I am relatively new to the Medtronic 780G pump system after switching over from 2 years on Omnipod Dash. Seeing as I cannot afford insulin replacement if any is wasted, could I use roughly the last 30-50 units of one vial of insulin, plus the rest of the 100 units needed from another vial? Not exactly sure of what to do, and speaking with a customer service rep was very confusing. As long as I fill the reservoir with the needed 100 units with the same type of insulin obviously, it should be ok right? And if so, how do I do that ?
Any tips, ideas, or info would be much appreciated. Thank you!

From reading this, I assume you want to fill the resevoir with the remaining Insulin from an almost empty vial and then top it up with more from another vial?

I do this all the time personally and have never found it to be problematic, as long as the insulin is still in date and good to use. I just pull the blue needle top off of the first vial I've filled from (Instead of separating it from the resevoir) and pop it onto another vial and continue filling.

If you are talking pump vial/cartridge

On the 780 I just allow the vial to run out before I change

Also you can change just the cannula or just the cartridge so I do that sometimes

If you are talking the vial from pharmacy

Then yes I do take the last 100 and then fill from a new vial
