I see that you're are in the Philippines and that you only want dietary advice? Are you eating the normal Filipino diet of rice, rice, and more rice?
 
Yes, I am a Filipino. ANd yes, that is my problem. rice, rice, rice and unlimited rice. I cant say no it it.. huhuhuhuu :(

Well you know where to start! Cut down your portion sizes of rice, pancit and pan-de-sal and try to get more fruit into your diet.
 
Are you Filipino also? You are very familiar with our diet. I replaced rice to corn grits but lesser amount. I dont eat pandesal and pancit now. From time to time, only wheat bread.

Kumasta po. My partner is a Filipina, so I know how much rice you generally eat in the Philippines! And I know that you guys like to shallow fry Everything!

Hi @RiaDali and welcome to the forum! A lot of us on here have found that following a Low Carbohydrate High Fat approach to eating has lowered our blood sugars and weight. It does mean avoiding or limiting as much as possible starchy carbs like rice, potatoes, bread and pasta, and replacing them with healthy fats like oily fish, dairy products, avocadoes, and nuts.

Welcome to the forums. Have a look at the low carb forums, I have changed the way I eat completely over the last months and improved my bloods from 71 to 52 by following advice on the forums. It's not easy .... I miss some fruits, I still eat some berries, it's worth it though. Good luck.
