Hi all,

Had blood test last week. Was told by the doctors receptionist yesterday that the doctor wants me to attend 'diabetic clinc'. So I must be diabetic I guess, no further details yet. Will be seeing the doctor next week to find out type of diabetes / medication (if any) etc etc... Came across this site whilst searching for information. As you all seem quite a friendly bunch I thought I'd join you. Looking forward to chatting to you all

Look forward to your postings after you get your diagnosis. It is a bit of a shock to begin with but we all help each other here so come back and ask all the questions you need to.

Many thanks for the warm welcome. Just to update Doctor confirmed I have Type 2 Diabetes :(

Got prescribed pills and told to eat heathly , exercise more and loose weight. Due to go back to him in four weeks time to see how I'm doing.

Glad of the support I know I'm going to get here. Been reading through the postings some good stuff on here.
