Hello,

I thought I would introduce myself as I am new to forum. My name is Keith I’m Cornish but living in Hertfordshire 68 years young. I was diagnosed with type 2 in December 2000.

Which is treated with Netaglanide and Metformin, initially every thing was fine and I admit I did not take it seriously as it seemed to be under control. I had a desk job (now retired), I enjoyed walking holidays and did plenty of walking when I first retired somewhere between 10 and 15 miles 2 to 3 times a week up until 2 years ago when I suffered with policemans heel and was that painful! Since then control has gone out of the window.

So thought its about time I started taking this seriously, I joined this forum to see what I could learn and found that its not only cutting sugar from diet but must also reduce carbs. So it’s a whole new learning curve for me. Not sure what or if any other information is required.

Buying a meter and start testing my BG was the best thing I learnt from these forums,
