Hello from Ruth, just diagnosed with type 2

Hello from Devon. I was diagnosed with type 2 last week a month after my 65th birthday. Both my husband and son have type 1 and both have been living with the condition since childhood, my husband for 61 years and my son for 24. Looking forward to finding out more about type 2 and keeping myself healthy.

With T1 in the family, you're probably very aware already what carbs can do with blood sugars in those who can't process them for whatever reason (auto-immune of insensitive alike). https://josekalsbeek.blogspot.com/2019/11/the-nutritional-thingy.html should help get you sorted if you want to go the diet route.

Thanks, that information is very helpful. Going to record the rise in blood sugar 2 hours after my meals and see what the rise is and adjust accordingly.
