Hi, I joined yesterday but thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm swinks, 41 and type 2 diabetic, was diagnosed about 14 yrs ago.

I take metformin and gliclazide, had to come off victoza due to side effects.

I've been doing low carb diet for 15 days now and I've had some great results with my blood sugars! :)

I'm trying very hard to lose weight, I have lots to lose, I go walking in the countryside with friends to try and lose a few lbs.
I also enjoy nature watching and music (rock and metal)

Hi Swinks. We've already 'met' on the low carb forum I think. Hope you find it as helpful and supportive as I have done. Rock on! (I have no idea where that impulse came from but it felt apt).

I've been lurking for a bit but have got so much useful information from this site, more than I've ever been given from diabetic nurse.
Everyone seems so friendly:)
