Hi just diagnosed two years ago, most blood tests been about 7 to 8 but the last week they are 10.5 mornings and 17 to 18 at night. Scared what do I do, on tablets twice a day that originally caused hypos but now not helping. Feel tired, sweaty nd ill and generally scared.

Hi. Reduce your carbs, have plenty of water and see the GP. How old are you and what is your weight like? If you are young and have lost weight recently and hence not overweight there is a possibility of the T2 diagnosis being incorrect and T1.5/LADA being more relevant?

Agree with others-this sudden deterioration in your condition most certainly warrants a medical opinion as soon as you can get one.

All the best and good luck.

Well don't really have a clue. Haven't had much advice, eat three meals, avoid takeaways but have some, eat bread meat fish veg stir fries but no real idea in what way? Don't like chocolate or biscuits or sweet stuff like savoury food but avoid pasties etc!
hi, go see your doctor mate

what is your diet like?

Thanks so much guys. Got sick a couple of years ago , got loads of steroids and it left me disabled, so fat, overweight and 53, but only spikes of high bs when I got steroids. Was very fit before getting sick so find it hard not o climb mountains and stuff. Will go talk to the doc as it has been real bad feeling last couple of days, thanks for the advice guys xx

Hi you could probly reduce your bg by reducing your carb intake but if your diet hasnt changed but your bg has suddenly starting spiking id be worried, do you have an illnesses at the moment as this cant push it up, colds etc
