Hi and welcome to the forum.

Amlodopine is a medication used for treatment of Blood Pressure.

  1. Amlodipine is in a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers. Amlodipine relaxes (widens) blood vessels and improves blood flow. Amlodipine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) or chest pain (angina) and other conditions caused by coronary artery disease.

Tell us a bit about yourself and how you are managing your diabetes. Are your eye problems a complication of your diabetes?

Hi. It looks like you are not taking any diabetes medication at all now? If Metformin causes you Diarrhoea then ask the GP for the Slow Release (SR) version. Can you let us know more about your last HBA1C blood test result or any other results if you have a meter. Are you having regular diabetes reviews with your surgery?
