Hi All,

I'm trying to get my self back on track, have been a type 2 for almost 2 years now. I'm 22 just over 14stone and 6ft and a little bit.

I'm trying to get into a routine of regular exersize, however I find it extremely hard to keep my sugars above the relms of 3 or 4 once i get going.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can prolong my glucose levals without having to make them dangerously high in the first place to allow me to work out?

I take Lantis in the night, atm 14 units., and Humalog in the day, normally about 6-10 units.

Many thanks in advance all, hoping to become a bit of a regular here now. :D

Hi toby,
I am bumping your post up so that someone will see it and answer. I am not on insulin so cannot help you.

Hi Toby.
Slightly confused here.......read this post of yours from 2008.
Can you confirm what Type you are please. It does make a difference to the replies you might get.

Hey thanks for teh replys, Yes i understand everybody is going to be different so you can only give advice

I'm type 1,
i have been a diabetic for around 6 months now. I dont normaly feel im having a hypo untill mysugars get to under 4. Iunderstand this is quite acceptable? One thing that does worry me is i can still have my sugars go as high as 25 and i will not notice it at all!

Generally speaking i have 2 units for breakfast, 3 or 4 untis for lunch and 5 untis for dinner, although obviously this changes depending on what i eat. My father is a chef so we have home cooked food like pasta currys or roasts.

Finally i do not carb count no. This is still all very new to me.toby
