I have been diagnosed as type 2 since December 2006, until the last six months I have been well controlled with metformin 1000mg 2x day glimepride 6mg daily and 45mg pioglitazone daily, my average bg was 5. For no reason and no diet change my sugars have rocketed to 13 fasting and over 20 post meals, my ha1c has gone up to 9.9, I have been to my gp (diabetic specialising)today and she is starting me on victaza as from next week when I will be seen by the diabetic nurse to show me the injection process. Anyhoo nice to have found this site.
