Hi All, just recently been diagnosed as type 2. Feel OK with the news but good to see an active community where I can share my experiences and ask for help! Just about to start Metformin this week if GP sorts the prescription.... Thanks

Did your doc tell you what your HbA1c was or your fasting glucose ?
How much wiggle room have you when it comes to lifestyle changes & weight loss ?

Many of the newly diagnosed here have had amazing results following low carb & light exercise immediately post diagnosis.
There appears to be an early window of opportunity to turn things around if you're pro-active.
