Hello!

Hello and welcome @zoeyjmoger

Best advice is to get a blood glucose meter and test regularly, on waking, immediately before eating, then 2 hours after eating . Keep a record of the levels and what you have esten to enable you to see how various food and drink affects the blood glucose levels. As long as you are not on diabetes medication that can cause hypo ( blood glucose levels too low) then reducing carbohydrates in your diet can be beneficial.

Welcome zoeyjmoger. Yep agree with Pipp get a monitor either from you GP practice or buy one. If you have to buy one you can get it VAT exempt. A lot of the members do control their type 2 with diet only so research low carb recipes, there are lots out there. Well done for joining this fab forum ;)

Have you been given any dietary advice from your HCP as to what you need to be eating?
