hi new on here and feeling pretty low today sugars are at 26.3 and i have a high ketone reading know I should really go to hospital but will get penalised at work if they keep me in
 
You really must go to A&E as it sounds like you have DKA which is dangerous. They might well keep you in but surely you can't lose your job if you are ill in hospital? I'm sure they are not allowed to penalise you - I live in Switzerland so I don't know the law but plenty of members here do know and they will answer you as soon as possible. Take care of yourself :)

Well, I hope you are at A&E now or on your way and won't see this until later. I hope all goes OK and we are thinking of you. Let us know when you can how you are as we would love to hear you are better.

You can always get another job (hard I know) but only have 1 life, don't give work a thought when health is truly at stake
