I am very surprised no one has answered your post. I have FINALLY got around to looking on the forum and can see I am not alone! I was diagnosed with type 2 about 20 years ago, and eventually ended up on insulin as well as a mouthful of tablets.
The MS hit suddenly over a period of years until I finally got a firm diagnosis. So that's added to the pill load.
I read lots about having a healthy lifestyle, etc, etc. but no one seems to have considered us. My walking distance, even with a stick, had dramatically reduced over the course of the last few years. Exercise, joke! I like swimming but now only last about 10 minutes in the pool before I have to just relax and let others do all the exercising. Just to add insult to injury, my consultant now thinks that all the little problems I'm having imply that my RR has now 'progressed' to Secondary Progressive. I am doing everything I can to stay out of a wheelchair. I hope that will continue for a while, but I'm not holding my breath too much. It's a shame that my wife is very good at denial. She's always saying 'it'll get better' but I know it won't.
I'm sorry I can't be more positive but we have to take what we are given, and smile (even if it's with gritted teeth).
Hope you haven't given up on getting a reply?
