Hey
I’ve taken on board all previous advice and now hoping can ye see if I’m on the right track….

My numbers today are…
8.0 at 6am
7.4 before breakfast
8.0 2 hours after breakfast
6.7 before lunch
8.0 2 hours after lunch

I know the 8’s are ideally too high but as the numbers are not increasing too much after a meal can i assume what I’m eating is ok?

My hba1c was 75 in October and 67 in Feb so hoping in May that it will be at least down to low 50’s

If the 8’s are just temporary spikes after eating will the lower numbers before eating be a better reflection of how I’m going?

Thank you

You're doing great. You're just getting started, so your baseline is naturally still a little high, so don't worry about something occasionally going over 8.0 at this point. Right now, it's more important that your numbers after your meal show a rise of 2.0 mmol/l or less. If you keep this up, your baseline should get progressively lower in the coming weeks as a result of that. You're off to an excellent start, congratulations!
