Help my toes are really itchy

Hi All

Has anyone got any remedies for chilblanes my podiatist said thats what i had a few weeks ago. It started to ease off but for the past few days my toes have started really getting itchy especially at night, when i've looked at my toes theres what seems like red bumps and my big toes are really itchy but if i itch them they feel sore, its driving me mad is there anything i can get to ease the itching, any advise would be very much appriciated.

Oh Tracey thats no good, my Mum used to suffer from chilblains, she swears by rubbing lemon juice and lavender oil on to the affected parts to stop the itching.
I hope you feel better soon, dont go scratching, you will make it worse and damage the skin leaving it prone to infection.

Hmm, I was advised to to put anything on mine. It wasn't so much that the creams were the problem but that rubbing them in might well split the skin and then they would take longer to heal.

I can sympathise though, the itching drove me :crazy: especially at night.
 
That sounds horrible Tracey, did your podiatrist not recommend something?

I have always sworn by Sudocrem ever since my kids were babies, the eldest is now 33 :D

Sudocrem is the latest product said to help combat teenage acne better than the likes of some famous acne creams advertised on tv.

Certainly worth a try Tracey and hope you get some relief soon!
 
oh I have a fetish for Sudocrem, it reminds me of the time when my kids were babies, I often open the lid just to smell it, always makes me happy, its comforting. :lol:

Thanks everyone

I think i will give the sudacream ago tonight, last night i put some johnsons baby moisturiser on them and to be honest it eased the itching, my podistrist said its not worth getting any of the creams avaiable as they are not that good she told me once the weather warms up it will ease off. I've got my appointment with my diabetic consultant next tuesday so i might mention it to him and see what he says about it. I'd always heard about chilblanes in the past but never took much notice but now i have it myself i did'nt expect the itching to be so intense.
