Hi
I am just looking for some guidance. I have been type 2 for 15 years and to my knowledge have never had a hypo. Recently I was diagnosed as suffering from a shingles infection. I have been taking the med for it now for 3 days now I take metformin and insulin for my diabetes. This afternoon after lunch (1 hour) I felt shaky in the legs started sweating so I tested my bs and it was 2.2 I do not know why it dropped so much this morning before breakie it was the normal 6.2. Does anybody know why it may of suddenly drop so soon after a meal?
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you retest? as it could have been a rogue reading.
Are the meds for your shingles liable to drop your blood glucose levels? Have a read of the sheet of paper that comes with the meds.
If you haven't eaten test now! Eat something low carb then test 2 hours later.
