Can someone please give me some advice, I am TD2 but I also suffer with Degenerative Osteoarthritis in my Spine. My mobility is near to zero therefore my weight is going up. I'm in a lot of pain from day to day. I don't want to take anymore tablets, im on 39 per day plus oramorph and morphine patches.

I too have oesteoarthritis primarily in my hands, feet and neck, and T2D. I was only diagnosed with diabetes a couple of months ago. I started on a low carb diet and Metformin to add to my 'cocktail' of other meds, this combination has helped me loose over 2 1/2 stone with very little exercise, just a little walking but nothing significant. The weight loss has helped with my arthritis particularly my feet, not having to carry so much weight now. If it's Metformin you're resisting it might be worth trying it for a while at least?

In fact metformin can for some, if you can tolerate it, at least give you an edge in the weight loss problem as it can help suppress apatite.

though exercise is very problematic for me I was able to lose weight while low carbing by restricting calories at the same time.
