Hi I've just accidentally taken a extra Metformin I'm on x 3 morning, dinner and tea. My last was around 8pm.
I've just come to take my other tablets before bed 11.20 pm and taken a metformin by mistake . Can anyone tell me if this is dangerous? I'm worried

You should be ok, you arent on the maximum dose of metformin and it wont cause a drastic drop in blood sugar. To be on the safe side have a snack,or drink some milk or something so that you are a little higher than normal, but other than that it will be ok.
Its easily done, dont beat yourself up over it, go have a good, restful night, I am sure you wont be repeating your mistake in a hurry, would be more worried if you had injected too much insulin.

Thanks Whitby jet... I've just been reading through a few posts and see some people are on 2000mg a day so feel a bit better.
Just was worried that I might go a bit too low overnight even though they say you can't have lows on Metformin ?
Lesson learnt.. Thanks again
