Have you been on a carb counting course? That's usually a requirement prior to starting on a pump. There's a free online version of a carb counting course - http://www.bertieonline.org.uk

If you haven't been on a course your DSN or dietician should have given you some guidence on working out the carbs in the food you are eating. The Carbs and cals book that @Chas C has linked to above is pretty good to help.

Is that what you are asking for help with, working out how many grams of carbs are in the food you are eating?

Controlling blood sugar does go beyond carb counting, but it's a good starting point. Is there anything else in particular you are struggling with with your diabetes management?

Maybe start with some basal testing to make sure your basal rates are correct:

Have you just started using a insulin pump or have you been using one for some time? Don't forget you can ask your pump DSN for help & advice.
