Hello

Breakfast - boiled egg , chunk of cheese , some whipped cream with blueberries and half an apple. Cup tea.

Snack - 1 square 74 % dark chocolate tiny bit peanut butter

Lunch- salmon mayo salad with grated carrot cucumber ice berg lettuce and olive oil and 1/2 small avocado

Dinner will be - lamb burgers with broccoli and butter and some other veg

More dark chocolate later with tea

Only 1 egg as had none left lol and my fitness pal said after the lunch it's at 50g carbs for the day...

it is good food, but better not to have carbs in the breakfast meal... because insuline resistance seems to be highest in the morning where also one have a higher blood glucose because of the dawn phenomenon where the liver spits ekstra much glucose out in the blood...
how much carb is in that chokolade ? in between meal is best if not more than 5 carbs at a meal.. so that one saves the carbs for the healthy foods... but of cause it is your choice.

and only take either berries or half an apple at one meal... the best not to have more than 15-20 grams of carbs a one meal ...

if you measure your blood glucose before meal and then 1 hour after and again 2 hours after then you´ll have an idea of how much it spikes yout blood... if the meal is okay ot will not spike more than 2mmol and preferebly not to a total higher than 8... my own is mostly not higher than 6.8 or around 7 ...

in the beginning that is difficult untill one gets to know of what foods one can eat a lot of like cheese and eggs and meat and which food only very small portions.

But breakfast didn't have many carbs ? Half an apple and some blueberries?

You certainly eat more breakfast than I could cope with, and as @Freema said, carbs aren't always good in the mornings because of insulin resistance and possibly starting high due to liver dumps. (If you have that problem)

Apples are about 11% carbs
Blueberries are about 13% carbs

Personally, I cannot eat any carbs in the morning or I end up too high before lunch, and I start the day a lot lower than you. I have tried berries and full fat yogurt and it just does not work for me. I save my berries for later in the day, and rarely eat blueberries.

Ok thanks. So I obviously start quite high don't I ? So what could I of had instead of the fruit ? Eggs cheese and spinach maybe ? I user whipped cream as I had no greek yogurt left

All I have is a decaf coffee with a lot of double cream. A cup of tea mid morning. That sees me through till lunch time without feeling hungry and keeps my levels in the 5's, with my lowest ever pre-lunch readings.

Prior to doing this, I had one soft boiled egg and a cup of tea, with another cup mid morning. That helped a tiny bit, but there was insufficient fat in the egg so it didn't solve the problem entirely.

It looks to me like you enjoy a big breakfast, but it isn't necessary.

well we are different , I strive to get totally normal nondiabetic levels a lot of people can get that if they eat really low carb, If one do not have that as a goal and think higher levels are acceptable then it is at the persons own risk...

I want myself to have normal levels because I don´t want to get more adding diseases as really many diabetics type 2 actually do along the way, sometimes they get these bad adding diseases very fast and sometimes it takes years.

I think you could get levels closer to normal and that that would be healthier for you , but in the end it is your choice.

another way to get better as a diabetic type 2 is to really get in shape in all muscles that can help the insuline resistance with as much as 30% some research has shown.. or one could go for long daily walk after the meals ..but still most would be highest in the mornings ........... good luck with your diet, and feel free to keep putting a queation here once in a while

See but I didn't think that 1 and 1 little chunk of cheese and some cream and fruit was big I didn't have big portions. But yes i am starving when I wake up tummy needs food early. I don't drink coffee don't like it

Try just cutting the fruit and stick with 2 boiled eggs with with cheese. Have your fruit after dinner.
