I also been type 1 with what seems like a life time, but around 49ish years. All seemed good, and I mean good with no problems whatsoever, until last year when I was a passenger in a car accident, and broke my back, 5 ribs and my left leg and ankle, I was also out for around 5 weeks, however since then I can't seem to keep a total control over my blood sugars, as well as this I can't remember how much insulin to do with the amount of sugars in the blood, I have asked the hospital doctors and nurses without success, as I'm just told to do as I used to do before, BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER. Please someone, anyone HELP.

Hey @sweetevans Welcome to the forum, sounds like you have been having a really hard time, could part of the issue be that your body is still healing from the accident ?

In regards to your control get your team to get you onto a DAFNE course, the course will help you get back on track with administering the right insulin for your requirements, please push them for this, we cannot advise on what insulin you should be taking, but your team should be helping you with this, can you call tomorrow and tell them you can't remember and need help ? Unfortunately their attitude isn't helpful so it will require you to be firm with them, please don't get down it will get sorted ;)

You sound just like I felt with concussion, really struggled for several months to get a grip with things that were easy before my accident.
