help with results..

Hi all

first of all ill let you know i have a doctors appointment to get fully checked out :)

After showing some symptoms of diabetes and admitting to myself my diet isnt great i did a self test using the glucose method, i fasted at 5.6 (8hrs overnight) i then took 100ml of lucozade and did another test after 30mins and i was at 9.0, i did another test at 60mins and i was at 8.2, then a final test after 2hrs i was at 5.1

Im slightly concerned that i have impaired insulin levels with the 9.0 spike, i just wanted some opinions and/or advice on those results.

Hi Andy,

Although the majority of us here are experienced with diabetes ourselves, we can't tell you if you do or do not have diabetes.

If you are concerned then please see a GP as this is the only person qualified to diagnose and advise you on your results.

It would be irresponsible or any of us here to cause unecessary worry for you or assure you not to worry if it's infact the opposite of either.

Keep a note of results to show your GP, although he/she may want to do their own controlled fasting test.

Whatever the results always feel free to pop back if you want further advice or support :)
