I am sorry to hear of your problem. I have not experienced an abusive relationship. I am replying since I don't know whether a forum for diabetics is going to be of much help to you. What about Googling in order to find a more relevant forum where there might be someone who can help.

There is help out there, please don't suffer, no one deserves to be treated in this way with physical violence, nil excuse. Please think about your safety and your health too.
Go to a friend, a relative or phone the police, or 111 if you have suffered any physical medical injuries and take photo's if you can.

I agree that u should call the police for your own safety.
I was in an abusive relationship - and was scared for many years not knowing what to do or where to go.
Then one night it got silly so I rang 999 because I was scared not only for my own safety but my children's too. The police were so nice and supportive. They took my husband at the time in to a different room to talk to him and spoke to me separately.
They asked if I had anywhere to go, which I did - my mums.
Had I not had anywhere to go he would have been made to leave (I asked this) and then the police made sure I was safe and made sure I left the property.
They then came back to question me, and ask if I wanted to press charges the next day.
They will help u if u need to get away from somebody. Please don't leave yourself in danger of being attacked

I am so sorry.You know what to do, but plucking up the courage to dial 999 when you are able to do so without involving 'others'. You really need to
. Dont think too deeply about later effects. Just do it. For your own sake.

Don't ever feel there is no hope, there is always hope but accepting change needs to happen to ensure that your life can be different is up to you. No one deserves abuse, mentally or physically so I hope you seek help, take care and I hope you are ok x

I hope that all is OK with you @MH2010 Let us know if we can be of any more help. As a chaplain for the Met, I can only echo the advice of others to use the police. They will help you to be safe.
