Hello guys.. I'm type 1 diabetes and the day before yesterday I got something like reactive hypoglycemia.. here's the thing.. my sugar was pretty high at 376 before dinner so I took 22 units of mixtard 30 which is my dose WHEN THE LEVEL IS NORMAL! I didn't wait and I immediately ate my dinner as usual nothing has changed but after one hour my heart starts to race and I felt hot flashes in my face although I was sitting in a room with an ac on... I checked my sugar it was around 208 so I realized it is going down way too fast... I ate over 7 spoons of table sugar and it didn't go up!! I was stunned I had panic attacks because of it... can somebody explain why this happened?

** If I understand your post correctly **
1. Why are you running blood sugar at 376 (mg/dl ? converting to nearly 21 mmol/L)
2. 208 (mg/dl ?) converts to 11.55 which is still a high reading
3. Are you sugars out of control ?
4. Your body may have got used to higher levels, and reacting when lower
5. What was your latest HbA1c ?

It was 376 because I ate sweets that day I cheated because I passed the exams.. my latest hba1c was 10.1 and 208 is still high but it was going down really fast

Well, that might be a contributing factor then. Perhaps your Mixtard was too high for the amount of carbs you ate?
No bot really that's the point my dose was actually low for such high reading but my body reacted as if I took twice the dose!! Why?!

10.1 means your running an average blood sugar level of 13.5 mmol/L (248 mg/dl) whch is (to repeat myself) way too high.
If you're looking to control your diabetes, then there are many great experienced T1s here to help you.
Do you think you're on the best insulin regime ? A switch to a a basal/bolus might really help you. Something to explore with your HCP.

How did you convert that? May I have the calcukation please?
I think I am on the right insulin but before I made my blood tests I suffered from dawn effect a lot so it exolains this high level of hba1c
